Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how TimeSchool (“we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you use the TimeSchool app and website (the “Service”).

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Information you provide

  • Email address provided during setup.
  • Parent PIN used to protect settings and parental actions.

1.2 Information generated by using the app

  • Subscription status information (e.g., active/inactive, product ID, expiration date).
  • App interaction analytics events (e.g., onboarding and paywall events).
  • App settings/state on your device (e.g., allowance, earned time, selected operators, switch state).

1.3 Technical account identifiers

  • Authentication identifiers used by backend services (e.g., Firebase Auth UID).
  • Cloud record identifiers used for account sync/storage where enabled.

2. How We Use Information

  • Provide core app functionality (setup, parental gate, puzzle flow, screen-time logic).
  • Validate subscriptions and support restore flow.
  • Maintain account security and support account deletion.
  • Improve reliability and product experience through analytics.
  • Support user-initiated parent communication flows (e.g., PIN reminder email request).

3. Device Control and Screen Time APIs

TimeSchool uses Apple frameworks such as FamilyControls, DeviceActivity, and ManagedSettings to manage blocked/unblocked states on-device. We do not receive full content data about a child’s app activity from these APIs.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell personal data. We may share data with service providers that help operate the Service, including:

  • Apple (in-app purchase and platform services).
  • Google Firebase (analytics, authentication, and database services).
  • Apple CloudKit/iCloud (where enabled by app functionality).
  • Email delivery providers for user-initiated transactional messaging.

5. Data Retention

We retain information only as long as necessary for the purposes in this Policy, unless longer retention is required by law.

6. Your Controls and Rights

You can request account deletion using the in-app Delete Account flow. Depending on your jurisdiction, you may also have rights to access, correct, or erase your personal information.

7. Children’s Privacy

TimeSchool is intended to be configured by parents/guardians for child use. If you believe a child has provided personal information inappropriately, contact us.

8. Security

We implement reasonable safeguards to protect data. No system is completely secure, so absolute security cannot be guaranteed.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy. Updates will be posted on this page with a revised effective date.
